Howdy from Forest Park.

Hi everybody. Hannah and I recently explored some more of Forest Park, a lovely park in Springfield. We like to walk there and take in some history.

We found this fountain that has fallen into disrepair. After some research, we found the lower picture is what it looked like almost 100 years ago.

It was given to the park by the widow of Samuel Bowles, a journalist and publisher of the local paper in the 1880s.

We are really excited to have been able to walk around outside, in shorts, in April! We even had

temperatures of more than 80 degrees, several days in a row! I have dreamed of early springs at the end of some recent Massachusetts winters in years past. I even got my first motorcycle sunburn, my left side was redder than my right, I was heading west most of mid-day...
That's all for my first post.

Jack

  1. We had so much fun that day... such nice weather... it is so much fun to explore places that were once great and are no forgotten. Jack is great at finding these fun little treasures so we should have more discoveries to report in the future.
